Being from the South, I never realized how important jackets were in the winter, especially a parka. Flip flops were my footwear of choice almost year-round, if that helps.
I’m about 5 years in to living in the Midwest – and I LOVE IT – with weather being in the negatives lately and having to walk my new black lab Ellie, this jacket has been a life saver. Without it Ellie and I wouldn’t be on such good walking terms if you know what I mean.
The photo above is of Ellie on one of our hikes the other week when it was 3 degrees. She really loves the snow!
I can go outside with nothing but a t-shirt and jeans underneath my Deep Cover Parka and I’m still super warm. Not to mention, I hate faux-fur, at least I thought I did. The faux-fur actually serves the wonderful purpose of cutting the wind off of your face and it really looks good on this jacket. If you’ve ever visited Iowa after they cut down the corn, you know that wind will cut straight through you! Bonus? This jacket looks damn good on anyone. Hands down, best jacket ever!
